BUNKO FAN ART WOO HOO!!!
So our good friend Ele drew this amazing portrait of my wife Vicki’s alter-ego, Bunko the Brave. What I find to be most amazing is Ele’s attention to detail, namely the inclusion of Bunko’s trusty Etch-A-Sketch, upon which Bunko likes to draw naughty pictures. Oh, and who could ever forget cute little Rigby, he looks so adorable in his little basket. However, do not be fooled as looks can be quite deceiving… if you’re up to no good he’ll nibble on your knee caps!!!
Anyway, the amazing Ele has a few tumblrs that you should definitely check out. First is the aptly named I Will Not Hang Myself Today, and the second is Nine Black Cats. Check em’ both out, you won’t regret it.
Bunko the Brave is my favourite superhero… or is she really a supervillain?
Either way this doesn’t look awfully much like her, but I’m getting a little better at drawing people each time.
My mom is…
a) the most amazing hula hooper on the planet.
b) the absolute worst hula hooper in the universe.
c) an average hula hooper.
Answer: All I know is it’s definitely not “c”.
VICKI’S BIRTHDAY BASH - SPECIAL KARAOKE EDITION!!!
Last week Vicki and I headed back to the MD to celebrate Vicki’s 30th birthday with an elite team of awesome super friends. For the first time ever we did Karaoke the right way… in a private room with crazy wigs and lots of sour patch kids! It was awesome. For anyone looking to belt out some Sweet Caroline in private I’d highly recommend FM Karaoke in good ol’ Rockville, Maryland. The staff was incredible and made sure to keep us as hydrated/inebriated as possible!
Anyway, here’s a few pictures from our crazy sour patch kids fueled night…

Geofferson Thomas (in furball hat) takes three non-colored girls for a Walk on the Wild Side. Although they are not colored, the girls are nonetheless good sports and sing along anyway.

Two guns for hire Dancing in the Dark.

Geofferson Thomas admires the strangely erotic Korean Karoke Video as Nick and Jill take us “to the river” with the Talking Heads.
★

Dueling Springsteens on their “last chance power drive”.
★

Buena Vista Geoff Club (probably singing some obscure British song or something).
★

Let’s Dance Japanese style with Ziggy PreDust.

Vicki looking a bit annoyed during Maggie May. Apparently I got a bit too excited when I sang “I wish I’d never seen your face”.

Jill and her hypnotic eyes doing their best Thriller Zombie.

Geofferson Thomas IS a Thriller Zombie.

Vicki and Tina ironically singing Blondie while wearing blue and purple wigs.

Luigi gettin’ low during Born to Run. Vicki was not too pleased with Luigi’s decision to wear his Nike Warmup Pants to her birthday party.

Somewhere, Out There, Beneath the Pale Moon Light zombie Geofferson Thomas is eating the brain of Ziggy PreDust.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody so long as he’s not wearing his Nike warmup pants to my freaking birthday party!

Even though he wore Nike warmup pants to my birthday party I’ll still pretend to love him for this photo. Once we get home, however, his cozy winter cap will burn in hell.
FLASHBACK FRIDAY 06 - “GEOFF THOMAS: SCORPION CHEWER”
I figured since I’ve been posting a bit about my film school experience lately I’d just keep the ball rolling for this week’s edition of “Flashback Friday”. The polaroid you see here was taken during the creation of a film I made during my junior year called Method for Self-Defense Against Scorpions.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes photograph you can see my main man Geoff sitting before a microphone and smiling like the happy man that he is. You probably assume that he’s doing a voiceover of some sort. In reality this is not the case, what he’s actually doing is chewing on Peanut Butter M&M’s in an effort to create the nice crunchy sound of a violent scorpion being devoured. Once the M&M’s were gone we spent the rest of the evening stomping on eggs and throwing cantaloupes. It was quite messy but worth it as the sound effects turned out to be pretty damn good in Method for Self-Defense Against Scorpions.
PEOPLE OF JAPAN 29 - “IRON CHEF LAYS IT DOWN”
I hope you like this guy because today my blog’s gonna be ALL IRON CHEF ALL THE TIME, as I took quite a few photos of this charismatic chef.
When I look at this one I picture that woman with her hand out attempting to “lay it down”. She’s probably saying “I want some some Chicken Teriyaki and I want it now!”. But then the Iron Chef lays it down harder by saying “Damn woman, step off, this is Japan, there’s no Chicken Teriyaki here!!!”.
Note: Quite a few of you seemed to think that I was joking when I said in a previous post that there was “no Chicken Teriyaki in Japan”. Trust me, that was no joke. I spent 8 days in Japan and at every single meal (even breakfast) I attempted to order Chicken Teriyaki. Not once did I get it. I’m pretty sure it’s an American thing.
PEOPLE OF JAPAN 26 - “THE HUMAN HIGHLIGHTER”
Without the bright blue earmuffs he’d be just another regular guy who happens to wear bright clothes. But with the bright blue earmuffs he ups his game and transforms into “The Human Highlighter”. Watch out because if he thinks you’re important he might brighten your day!!! What an awesome super hero.
Note to self: Make “Human Highlighter” comic book, make lots of money, buy big screen tv, order some pizza, watch Cupcake Wars with Vicki, eat pizza, watch Animal Hoarders with Vicki, order more pizza.
PEOPLE OF JAPAN 20 - “JAPANESE UNCLE BUCK?”
A few days back I posted another photo of this amazing man along with a quiz question asking which 80’s comedic actor he resembled. I had an overwhelming two participants which I’m pretty sure means that my blog briefly went viral. Anyway, congratulations to John Carleton and Drew Shannon, you both answered correctly, the correct answer was indeed John Candy! As you two read this imagine me throwing some popcorn in the air and Vicki yelling “Yay”, because unfortunately that’s the only prize you guys will be getting. I was going to give the winner a nice gift certificate to Applebee’s but since you guys tied I decided to just throw it in the trash.
Anyway, everyone should follow John and Drew now as they are two cool guys who are not afraid to answer the tough questions.
