GREAT MOMENTS IN PHOTOSHOP EXCELLENCE 03 - “BLINKING JAPANESE PHONE BOOTH”
Question: Do I regret wasting twenty-seven consecutive hours creating this animated GIF in photoshop?
Answer: No way, it’s sooooooooo awesome.
Question: Do I regret missing Vicki’s 30th birthday bowling party to create this GIF?
Answer: No comment.
Question: Does my black eye hurt?
Question: Seriously, was making this GIF worth it?
Answer: Not really. I actually start to get sick if I stare at it for too long. Ughh… make it stop!
Anyway, my main man Nick just wrote a really cool story about the photo behind this GIF for a new website called SAINT LUCY. If you like photography, creative writing, and/or Baltimore definitely check it out!
Oh, and my main man Nick also just started a Tumblr of original artwork inspired by the hit 90’s television show Beverly Hills 90210. It’s called West Beverly High Art Club, definitely check it out as the artwork is quite impressive. Also, I believe that they are accepting submissions, so you may wanna think about digging up that charcoal drawing you did of Luke Perry’s misty eyes in 1995.
COOL STUFF IN JAPAN 17 - “MAGIC PHONE BOOTH PART 2”
A few weeks back I posted a different shot of this magically lit phone booth. While the previous photo was indeed magical, I think this shot may be a bit more magical due to streak of light in the background.
Anyway, my point is this… if Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter ever reunite to make my dream film, Bill and Ted’s Totally Gnarly Voyage, I really hope that they use this phone booth in the scene where they travel back in time to Kochi in an effort to make out with Vicki’s totally awesome Grandmom.
COOL STUFF IN JAPAN 14 - “TWO OPTIONS”
As far as I can tell I’ve got two options…
1. I can let this rather mysterious photo stand on it’s own as a photograph and not ruin it with some stupid caption.
2. I can write something about Clark Kent’s regrettable business trip to Japan where he had several awkward encounters in Japanese phone booths.
Damn, I think I just went with option two without even realizing it.
Past Christmas Classics: 2007 CHRISTMAS CARD REJECT PHOTOS
No. 03 - “HO HO HO’S YOUR DADDY?”
The good: It really showcases my custom one-of-a-kind Christmas “wife beater” and I like the telephone. I’m also quite happy with my “bewildered” expression.
The bad: I’m really sweaty and I feel bad that Vicki doesn’t also have a cool 80’s phone to hold.
